The Anne T. Kent California Room, founded in the 1930s, is dedicated to collecting and preserving Marin
County history for future generations. Marin County residents have been depositing photographs and
photograph albums with the library for decades. The library preserves all of its source materials (photographs,
documents, maps & ephemera) in an archival environment and make their materials accessible to scholars via
their Digital Archive and in the Civic Center Library, where they are staffed by two professional librarians, full
time.
