Robin Williams graduated from Redwood High School in 1969. That was
common knowledge to the average Redwood student of the 80s. But that
fact became more personal to the Class of 1987 during our Graduation
Ceremony when Mr. Williams "spoke" to us (via a pre-recorded tape) about
his memories of Redwood during the Sixties.
A student, Ted Gold (now Vice President of Drama Development for Fox
Television), pretended to receive a telephone phone call from Williams during
the graduation ceremony. Gold held the phone to the microphone and played
the following audio for the audience (press the little arrow below to begin
playing):
