I loved that place. I remember getting sandwiches there since my brother was allergic to milk. They had some kids meal for that.
They had a Scopitone machine! It was like early music videos.
Circa 1976, one of my birthday parties at Straw Hat!
Wasn’t there one between Safeway and McDonald’s in Strawberry?
Back in the day.. was a fav for Birthday Parties
I remember collecting plastic football helmets at that Straw Hat. They would give you the logos to put on yourself. I also remember the 3-4 video games which were a destination for stoned youth in the late ’70s.
That was the Marin Pizza Pub.
Was it called Pizza and Pipes? I can’t remember.
Was that one Pizza Pub? It had a old fashioned silent film organ with accompanying mechanical percussion section, bird whistles and bubble machines. They used to play silent films with crazy, entertaining and cacophonous musical accompaniment. As kids we loved it – my parents used to say the place was full of rats!
What was the joint with the multi-instrumental organ in San Rafeal???? I went on my 8th birthday and the guy played Star Wars. It was epic.
