  1. Unfortunately I was there and opened the rear door of the van when the shooting stopped. A terrible day in the history of Marin. Judge Harold Haley was a great Judge. Gary Thomas was a great Assistant D.A. and after his recovery from being shot, he became a Judge. He retired a number of years ago. He was also a great Judge.

  2. l knew so many people involved. Jim Keane the lJ photographer was a really close friend. He was eye witness to the whole thing. He took amazing photos. He recounted the story to me a number of times. I remember it like it was yesterday. l miss Jim, a real old time Marin County good guy.
